Privacy Policy
Scope
The MAPS Privacy Policy covers how the MAPS organization and website handles personal information that is necessary for maintaining your MAPS membership account and the MAPS program.
Information Collection and Use
MAPS only collects personal information about its users when the user elects to join MAPS. The public portions of the website do not collect any personal information. The personal information collected for MAPS membership includes name, phone number, email, work location, and beneficiaries' name and contact information. Only information required to support the MAPS program is collected.
Information Sharing and Disclosure
MAPS does not rent, sell, or share any information with third-party companies or organizations. Your personal account information is not disclosed to MAPS program personnel unless it is required to support program operational needs.
IP Address and Cookies
For security reasons, your IP address may be recorded on the MAPS server logs to help prevent and track unauthorized access to the MAPS website. Additionally, when logged into the MAPS website, temporary session cookies may be stored on your computer to maintain your session information (login credentials, user roles, etc).
Managment of Account Information
The MAPS website provides members with facilities to update their membership account information at nearly any time. If a member resigns from the MAPS program, most of his/her account information will be removed from our system. The basic account information may be archived for program records.
Information Security
Your MAPS membership account information is protected by your username and password. Do not share your password with anyone who should not have access to your personal information. If your password is compromised, please change your password.
All personal information is transmitted using secure socket layer (SSL) to help protect your information from being read by any other individuals. Secure socket layer encrypts the content before sending it over the network to your computer. This is the same level of protection used by nearly all commercial websites when sending secure information (such as credit card numbers) over the Internet.
The MAPS website takes information security seriously. The MAPS technicial staff makes every possible effort to keep your information safe from unauthorized access.
Changes
MAPS reserves the right to make changes to this policy at any time. You will be notified by email if significant changes are made to our policy.
